Political Shadowing Scheme

CRER's Political Shadowing Scheme

The CRER BME Political Shadowing Scheme was established to address the severe under representation of Black and minority ethnic (BME) individuals in the Scottish political arena.

CRER's scheme is designed to counteract this by empowering and inspiring individuals from BME communities to be actively involved in politics. This scheme gives those involved an opportunity to gain first hand experience of the work of an MSP or Councillor, which can often provide a stepping stone into Scottish politics.

This project also provides a wide range of training and is open to all individuals from a BME background. Applicants should have an interest in politics, but it is not essential to be a member of a political party
